Cyanotype Printing and Slow Stitching
July 23, 2022 – 9:30am-4:00pm
$95 per person
If you sign up with a friend, you will each get a $5 discount.
The day will start with a little opening movement to get you started on the right foot. We will then get into playing with Cyanotype printing. Cyanotype is a photographic printmaking process that is light-sensitive and characterized by its blue colouring. We will play around with doing this on paper and fabric.
Once that is done we will do some slow stitching with different fabrics and notions. Slow stitching is a mindful needlework process that focuses on intention and the joy brought from creating – not so much the final result of the piece itself. We can turn them into Amulets or just mini wall hangings.
At some point we will stop to have a yummy vegetarian lunch and an afternoon meditation. There will also be snacks and drinks available throughout the day.
No prior experience is required and all supplies will be provided. If you wish to pay by email transfer (so you don’t incur the Eventbrite fees) please advise by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
